Networking

Today I was talking to a customer (user) and as always I try to give a little more that what is asked. I was offering some suggestions that I thought would help her judging by her reaction.

In passing I mentioned that I have a graduate degree. In the conversation she moved to the topic of her husband being a CIO for an international organization ... Hmmmmmm! I told her a little more about my computer background then showed her my website. She then stated that her husband may be interested. I e-mailed her my resume moments later.

I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Nice work! Networking is by far the best way to find a new job... Most companies will take a referral from a co-worker or family member over a slightly better candidate on paper...

Keep us posted how it goes! And hey, if nothing comes of it... at least you got some good practice networking for the next opportunity...
