Dear company, Eat it!

I work in downtown Chicago. My office is one big corral of disgruntled cattle that has come to be lovingly referred to as "The Chicago Stockyards" because of the way we all just exist here waiting for our turn to be slaughtered. Anyway, I am not gutsy enough to do it but one of my coworkers has begin a little vandalism binge. He (or she ) is going around to the conference rooms (about 30 spread over 5 floors) and simply writing the words "EAT IT" on all the white boards. He/she does about one or two a day and will sometimes send the same statement interoffice mail to the VPs. On the boards, he/she does it in dry erase marker so I guess he's/she's not THAT brave...but still... Regardless, it finally got noticed by management and several e-mail warnings have been sent out to all the staff saying that the person will be caught and that "disciplinary action will be taken" blah blah blah... It has become a huge joke among us peons because they have done everything but threaten us all with Marshall Law (which I doubt is far off). The problem is that these companies think they can solve problems by threatening and locking things down. They panic when there is any kind of uprising or dissent in the ranks. They do not want us to stray from being the mindless pawns they want us to be. Instead of treating us right and making us happy and earnestly addressing morale issues, they tighten their grip. This will always backfire and piss people off more. Even if they fire my friend, people will find out and there will be copycat office vandals in protest. When are they gonna learn? Better yet... when are WE gonna learn to demand better treatment from these fascist companies?
