My account number

12/12/2008 by Archie4711
Today I had a run into the MOST STUPID action of TIME WARNER ever, that they are plenty!!!!

I needed my account number to pay my bill. I was in the office and I could not get through the automated billing service without the account number. I acted like a civilized man who lives in a civilized culture and called Customer Service. The girl needed my account number to give me my account number... FULL STORY»

Time to lighten up!

12/02/2008 by CK
With the holidays and the downturn in the economy, etc. I figure it is time to lighten up and share some boss jokes.

At a company, the Big Dog dropped in for a tour of the facility. The Big Dog asked the company tour guide "How many managers work here?" The guild replied "About half!" ..

Humor Time - You Know You Are Interviewing With The Wrong Company When:

10/23/2008 by SouthernProgrammer
Hey Jobschmobbers, lets spread a little humor today. Imagine the worst case scenario when you interview with a company and they share an outrageous benefit which lets you know you are in the wrong place.

This is based on a scenario which once happened to me. I interviewed for a job as a programmer and was told that all looked good, I would be making base salary and would be given a key to the building... FULL STORY»

Smile on a stick

08/26/2008 by CK
We have a big quarterly meeting this week that I intend to skip if possible. Others are skipping, wanting to skip but can't or taking time off to "see the doctor" excuse. Myself, I am going to try to work. Yea, I'd rather WORK than attend another BS session.

I was teasing a co-worker friend about the meeting (her boss makes her go) and told her she should get a "Smile on a stick" (www... FULL STORY»

ZZZZzzzzzzz .......

07/31/2008 by CK
Considering my "underemployment" regarding my skills and education where I work, as well as that there are times of peaks and lows, I sometimes get bored. And to me, the saying that "idle hands ..." (hehehehe!!!)

Well many times during the lows I read leadership, management, resume, and job-hunting books as well as surf the Internet. Well I downloaded a few wav files (for my intertainment) such as "Smiling Faces" (in reference to my work place), Mission Impossible, Tequila (think PeeWee) and other "select tunes" and "sounds... Organization Chart

06/27/2008 by CK
Ever think about your company Organization Chart? Ever try to explain one to someone? Well here is an example (no pix - but there is one below as an example).

First close your eyes and think of the Org Chart as a tree filled with monkeys. There are monkeys on every branch - the tree is FULL of monkeys!

Think of the monkey that sits at the very top as the CEO... FULL STORY»

Why did the chicken cross the road?

05/23/2008 by CK
Subject: Why did the chicken cross the road?

BARACK OBAMA:
The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a CHANGE! The chicken wanted CHANGE!

JOHN MC CAIN:
My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.

HILLARY CLINTON:
When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road... FULL STORY»

"That came out wrong!"

04/28/2008 by CK
Ever had one of those days ... I did today.

I start work at 6am. About 6:30 I get a call from a computer user (female) regarding issues she is having with her mouse. She explains that it sticks and sometimes doesn't work. She states that she has to open the mouse up and clean the 'gunk' on the rollers. She said that she had 'borrowed' a mouse that doesn't use the ball and she would like one of those... FULL STORY»

What are you doing for April fools day?

03/31/2008 by CK
I am intending to post a sign on the mens and womens doors that we are not longer supplying TP and that employees will have to supply their own resources.

Are you doing anything? ..

Flame Wars

02/28/2008 by SouthernProgrammer
I'm laughing as I type this. I work with a group that is stationed in the North East and (as you can imagine) is full of people who tend to vote Democrat. Only one other person and myself tend to be conservative.

Note - I am not tied to the Republican party, I tend to vote for the person whom I think will do the best job or (in the case of Kerry Vs Bush) will do the least amount of damage... FULL STORY»
