Working on their time zone while sitting in mine

Well today I was asked to start working longer hours. Not, DIFFERENT hours...but more hours in addition to the salaried 9 I already work. Why? Because my job is being offshored. Yep. I can join the club now. And before they usher me out the door I have been asked to train somebody in India to do my (MY!) job. Ain't I lucky...? So in this morning's meeting, they told me... "Ted", they said "we need you to stay on for a few hours every night to start training your offshore counterpart. His time is a bit different and we're trying to meet in the middle". As if it wasn't already ridiculous enough that they refer to him as my "counterpart" when he is my REPLACEMENT, now they want me me to put in EXTRA hours because these knuckleheads decided to ship my job off. And meet in the middle??? Hardly!! I have to start looking fast now because I do not intend to comply with this BS. I can't believe these people can get away with this. I have been with this company for FIFTEEN YEARS. What difference does it make anymore. There used to be a day where if you wanted to give your life/career to a company you could. Now they just treat you like garbage whether you've been there 6 months or 15 years.
