From Yahoo News:
Bailout Foreign Workers
Banks are in a great spot.
1) They cut costs by firing American workers and importing cheaper foreign ones.
2) They get a bailout from the public funds.

Ironic isn't it 01/24/2009 by Lost_in_America

I wrote last week about how my company has sent my IT job to India.
We found out two weeks before Christmas.
Yesterday my wife got the word from her boss that he was letting her go because of the down turn. Ironically, part of the reason is that my wife (the company bookkeeper) has been unable to collect a huge debt one of their vendors owes... FULL STORY»

Director Advices Suicide 01/21/2009 by lost_in_america

I had an interesting conversation with one of our directors yesterday.
The 250 of us whose jobs are going to India (via IBM) have been asked to continue to work professionally until our separation date, which, is apparently a big secret right now.
According to this director, (who was retained) the company is afraid we will all leave before we have our brain’s drained... FULL STORY»

Displaced Analyst 01/15/2009 by Lost_In_America

Well the word came down two weeks before Christmas that my and 250 of my friends jobs have been outsourced to a major provider of computer services. If I told you the name you would know it, and upon hearing it you would assume it was an American company.
Also upon hearing it you would not realize that the jobs are actually going to India.
My company is offering a job fair so that those of us displaced can all see at one time that comparable jobs to what we had no longer exist... FULL STORY»

Indian Outsourcer Satyam Inflated Results For Years
Satyam is an Indian company who does outsourcing contracts. They abide by Indian financial regulations.
They inflated their assets, much like Enron and WorldCom (again I blame BushCo for this even if it happened in India!)
Not sure if Satyam (and the other Indian outsourcing companies) will ever be prosecuted for H1B visa fraud though... FULL STORY»

Hehehe. If anyone has seen the old 80's classic cult-movie Time Cop, you would probably split your pants laughing at this. The Governator says he would run for president if he could! Too bad he has to be natural-born american...

How to know you're about to be redundant 12/19/2008 by thegrinch

A bit of advice, from my experience, having worked as both an executive assistant and a database administrator in my career life. I'm a career-changer new to the field so I've worked mostly contracts so far. I've had a couple of techie jobs sent overseas and some secretarial ones simply eliminated due to "cost-cutting." Here are the hints that you should get your resume out there... FULL STORY»

Did anyone read this today?
I have come to the conclusion that most CEO's and Traders do not cast reflections in mirrors.
Wall Street has been built upon greed by people doing everything they can to get rich quick and damn the consequences!
I'm going to get the money out of my 401K and bury it in the back yard... FULL STORY»
