Let's play Double Jeopardy where the scores can really change!

Well, it's been a month to the day true believers, and our hero is just as lost as the day he got here. Now granted he knows his way around and won't take an hour to find his car. But I thought I would share with all of you the latest tale of woe...well not really woe, but misadventure.

Given the task to copy one column of entries into another, I do this with little or no difficulty. Opting to do it left handed since I'm normally right handed and could use the dexterity practice. Get told that this wasn't correct, and proceed to get told that I'm holding the project up. At this time, I'd like to remind all of you that I still don't know WHAT project that is. Anyway, I'm given further instruction to look at a login ID and if I see anything that resembles a last name, I'm to search for it against all 90,000 employees and fill in the new on if I have a match. There are well over 20,000 records. And now for the best part. I was given that at 3:45 in the afternoon on Thursay and was asked if I could have it done by the end of the day. WHAT!

Now, I consider myself a hard worker, but having to do EACH record individually would've taken a lot longer. So, by 11AM the next day, I'm on record 700 and get asked why haven't I finished it yet? Was it just me or was I set up to fail? Anyway, this is just another example of well maybe it's just my misunderstanding of what my life is like now. But you would think that some form of orientation would come along with this.

I'm still waiting on a name tag, my own voicemail and login ID among other essentials necessary for day to day functionality. Communications are usually "we'll let you know when this is done" type of thing and it's really getting old. I really wish that prior to coming here, someone would have explained what the heck was going to happen because quite frankly I'm tired of being dazed and confused walking around here. I mean it's not rocket science, but it also shouldn't be this complicated either. Maybe someday things will change, but I'm not that optimistic. I have this sinking feeling that I'm destined to forever remain...
