I, have this district manager who feel if you don't do things the way she want sometime it the wrong way and I, don't give into wrong. I don't believe in going behind somebody back to cause them to lose their job by saying bad things about them to the boss. I, am a believer that what you do to someone else will come back and bit you in the Butt. I, don't think you have to do someone else wrong just to gain someone resepct. I, been with my job for 20 plus years and I have alway stood up for myself but it has kept me from promotion within the company because am not part of the good old boy system. How should I handle a bad boss the only way I, was promoted was to go over my boss head and speak to her boss and this was the only way for me to be promoted. Someone else heard my cry alone with my powers from above. What should I, do personally I, have done everything society has ask me to went to college got my degree. Spent many years in the military and retired now how do you handle people in the work force that just use there power to control you. Company now days want you to do things unethically and then you fall to the waist because they see you as a whistler blower it shouldn't be that way. what has happen to pride and resepct in the work place company don't care about there employees anymore. They pick and choose who they want to hire and fire this needs to be address on all jobs not just my job but all jobs.

I myself don't worry too much about climbing the corp ladder. Too often these days management is littered with incompetance that keeps growing due to friends hiring friends, etc. If you happy with what you do, and happy with most the people you work with, I would just make a point to let your upper management know about the good things you do every now and then. This way you can not worry so much about what your boss says to them, and just focus on controlling your own image at work. Without stabbing people in the back like your boss!
