I was working for shipping and receiving little that I knew when I started that I was working for the anti-crises the mother to the children. At the ripe old age of 43, my career is over. I worked at a Ivy league university in upstate NY as a biological research technician for 12 years for the same principal investigator. His field of expertise was folate and one carbon metabolism and the development of neural tube defects. when i first started at a local restaurant,i was hired as cashier. Everything went good until i made a mistake while typing in a customers order,the manager (who shall remain nameless) pulled me off the cashier and told me that i had to ask the other cashier questions and practice using the register. It gets worse when the manager called me to the back and told me "i dont have to have you working here" and held up a bunch of applications from other applicants saying "i couldve hired someone else and given them the job" since the manager told me that she wasnt going to be at work that day,id figure id go in to work just to be on the safe side; however,being on the safe side didnt work out because i called my boss to see what day to come in and work she told me "we wont be needing you anymore,i told you not to come in to work when i wasnt there and you went in anyway" long story short,i shouldnt have tried to earn brownie points or gotten on the boss' good side when your the new girl on the fast food block... Boss sits in his office all day playing on the internet and every time you say something to him he acts as if he is super busy. All he has to do after starting the machines is count the money and this takes like an hour. He will wait till its almost time to leave then act like oh Im super busy, I still have to count the money. Well maybe if you weren't on youtube or what ever all day it wouldn't be a problem... I'm just your average paralegal. I go in and do my work and get my paycheck. I recently graduated from college and started working at a small law firm in Kansas City. Worst boss ever, even his name is "dickman."

They tell you to come in and sign up with their office because they have so many cases, it's a lie... it takes like 6 months or more before they call you for a job. Once you sign up, then they go to various companies with a bunch of resumes telling them they have this many nurses available to work, just to get a contract... FULL STORY»

Jem is the boss from hell alright. She has a hard time dealing with stress. She manages a good sized medical clinic in a small town that also has two other clinic systems. The other clinics are smaller and tied to area hospitals. Jem's clinic is part of a larger system that is known to be pretty ruthless. Jem fits the ruthless model to a T.

I can relate to these earlier posts about this place. I worked at this job as a temp for abut 4 months and my Manager kept hitting on me all the time and asking me to go out to lunch with him. When I kept refusing him, he started making my job hard for me, telling stories and talking about me to other managers in other departments. I saw no end or peace with this so I quit... FULL STORY»

Hey, here is the worst boss on Earth. (Name removed) from the old First Union, now Wachovia Bank! She is the service leader for (location removed). What a laugh. Not only is she totally rude, but sleeps around. In addition, she dresses like she is 20, when she is in her 40's. I guess to make up for the years she had her son when she was a teenager.
