My boss thinks of me as a person that has less intelligence that he does. He pulls me aside to tell me directly of a few mistakes I have made and how I should be more advanced with my approcah to selling managed servers. They never offered professional training to begin with and so my knowledge is somewhat limited when it comes to the more complicated issues of this service. Everything I know is self taught with a little help from the moran Network Administrator who has insulted me before in front of others. These things can be a huge blow to my ego and confidence and I know I'm not an idiot. In fact it has stayed with me for the last several days and I even lost sleep over it thinking I might get fired.
As a matter of fact there are two other people here that are in the same position I am (Sales) that know even less than I. One lady admitted that to me. So why does the short man pick on me when it comes to this this subject?
Any clues and feedback is greatly appreciated.

Well, I would try to count to ten and calm down. Myabe excuse yourself to the restroom when they start offering advice, and then I would return and ask them for the advice they so kindly offered. Take everything they offered graciously but logically think through things and either take the advice or leave it. You stated that you did not receive training, so ask your boss to help you. By making him feel less threatened by you, you are manipulating him. Think wisely about this. I have had bosses with "complexes" and there is are ways to manipulate them to get what you want. It may sound evil, but there is nothing you can do to make these people feel better about themselves and leave you alone. Best wishes!
