I started work for a guy who is just plan ignorant. There has to be communication. He interperts this as me not knowing what I am doing. I had to remind him that me asking him on specifics is getting the facts straight. That this might seem elementary but I need to know details to do my job more effectively. then making comments about me using the word or phrase. Umm too much. Even asking me if I had went to college. He interperts this as being nervous and not professional to the client as I am just buying time for my brain to register to the correct answer. Finally, he made notes in his IPOD and sync'd in to outlook. When syncing he swiped all the note information and got upsett with me when I didn't know what jobs he was talking about. He was proclaiming I sync'd with you don't you know what you are doing. Then realizing when he checked his IPOD that none of the info was there.

Mean little redhead, I hope your situation gets better. Try looking at the situation from your bosses point of view, and then respond to him the way you would want to be treated. Best wishes!

FOR EVERYONE'S INFORMATION My laptop went out when trying to post this comment. YES, I am educated. I have a B.A and an A.A. Unfortuately, I live in an economically depressed area and finding decent employment is next to impossible. :>(

I know exactly where you are coming from. I am also in an economically depressed area, and I have noticed that this fact seems to make the bosses/managers even more anal, short-tempered and looking to assign blame. This is an unfortunate fact of human existence-the personality types that are ego-driven become managers, and then they cannot turn off their self-serving, patriarchal attitudes, no matter what the situation. It is certainly not you, it is a societal condition that is getting worse, where these clowns have the notion that they have the GOD-GIVEN right to treat people in lesser positions like cr*p.

Big solution: Stop being rude to your boss. You are the subordinate; get out of suburban prep life and daycare bratland and reaize you aren't all that.
