My hillbilly big-ego'ed pseudo know-it-all supervisor

I work in telesales as a home agent for a big company. My boss and her boss communicate with me and others via email and IM. I am one of the top salespeople in this company yet every day I have to deal with their annoying,self-serving emails, always telling us to work harder,faster,more,etc..and giving us veiled threats ("If you don't do ___, we will do ___" just to keep us "in line". I would love to tell both those female man-wannabes to shove the product we sell where the sun doesn't shine. Just roll up that literature and stick it on up there!

Why can't bosses just let us be when we produce, not think of ways to screw up our morale in a business where being positive is so very important? And, the hillbilly one tells me I would do BETTER if I did things HER way because SHE knows..well, we are the top team on the company but I can crank out sales nonstop if left alone to do things my way..which is both legal and ethical ways of doing the work. But noo..that annoying gnat of a supervisor has no other purpose in life but to be buzzing around, trying to "motivate" by being a major pest. And, she's smug about it, I cannot stand her.

Last week we got in a fight and I told her that I know how to sell and that she needs to back off and let me do my job. She got mad and wanted an apology. I told her nope, that she should be the one apologizing, because I am a good and faithful worker, and whenever I talk she cuts me off and belittles me. I told her that my opinions are valid and that I am an equal to her, and not to talk to me like a spoiled brat. She hung up on me. I reported her. Now she's being really nice to me, the company values me as I am one of their top people..and to rub it in her face further, I had top sales in the team the entire week..So there, you evil, perky backwoods she-devil. Hehehe.

For a split second, I honestly gasped at this because I thought you were a co-worker! I also work w/a Hillbilly know-it-all MALE spvrsr. who likes to make his underlings feel insignificant and worthless. He might be a clone...

SO funny!!! I thought you were talking about my Bimbo Manager, until I saw that you were a home worker!!! What is it with these ego-driven clowns??? What happened to the all-American idea of respect for all workers? I feel like we have all gotten morphed back to the middle ages, where there were masters and serfs, and no middle class whatsoever. There is one thing I know now, for sure. Power corrupts.

Female man wannabes? What makes you think they want to be men? Maybe they're just mean...that might come off as seeming like a man...

I had a boss like this in the past. He was new, brought in to replace our old boss who left the company. He came in apparently wanting to show he was top dog around there. Pissed a lot of folks off and dug himself into a hole I'm not sure he will ever get out of.

Pissing match, plain and simple. You did the right thing by reporting her, AND by believing in your abilities and not caving in to criticizm.
