I was sitting in my cube working away last week when a spider dropped from the ceiling onto my keyboard. Caught me off guard, but no big deal. I just brushed him off onto the floor. I made the mistake of mentioning to my cube neighbor as it happened. She freaked out. Next thing I know I hear a spray can sound. She is spraying bug killer all along the cube wall between our offices! You know how bad that bug stuff smells, and how bad it is for you! She apologized for the fumes, but she just kept spraying it on.
I'm thinking of getting some small fake spiders and planting them around her office. Though that will probably just make matters worse as she sprays her entire cube...

I REALLY can't handle spiders, either, but I won't go out of my way to kill them. We get containers of merchandise from Taiwan every week, and occasionally it comes with "wildlife"; HUGE cockroaches and spiders, and sometimes a dead lizard. Everyone back in warehouse has been warned NOT to bring them into the office to show us...Yuck!

Spray like that in a confined area is bad for you. I would have told her where to go.

I don't think I'd have sprayed, but I would have screamed pretty loudly if a spider fell on me while I was working. Ugghy-ugggh.
