Well my brother-in-law is working in this apartments in Dallas. His friend got him the job there. About 3 or 4 weeks later he started complaining about his boss, I asked him, "What did she do?" He told me that he has been noticing that when she gets the papers or apartments ready for anyone to live there that it's always white peole who get an apartment there. He has been noticing when any other person asked if there were any apartments availabe, so they could live there that she always said, "NO!" He and his other co-workers got sick of it so they made a plan. They were going to let her boss call her and asked for an apartment, but telling her she was Mexican, but then to call later and saying she was white. She got fired, but my brother-in-law feels very awful.

Why should your brother-in-law feel bad? Good for the boss for firing this woman for breaking the law! If this woman were fired for embezzling the rent money, would your brother-in-law feel bad?

Exactly. Good point Thelma.

Why would she take it upon herself to "select"? Or did she get fired for not being sneaky enough?
