When I was younger I worked at a fast food restaurant. Making my way up through the ranks from dishboy to chef, I found I was put through my fair share of pranks and hazing. Well unfortunately I found it necessary to share my experiences with the new dish washers on occasion.
So here's what we'd do... The dish guys would be out busting their butts clean tables and we'd sneak over to the dish room and put traces of mayo on and under every handle, button and grip that they could find. The unsuspecting dish guys would make their way back and start to clean the dishes. Next thing you know, they are wiping off mayo on their pants, looking confused as to where it came from. As they reach for the sprayer... more mayo... confused they get angry at themselves, thinking they made this mayo-mess. They go to grab another bus tub and head out again... uh oh. More mayo...
On to phase two. Frustrated, they head back out to clean more tables. We sneak over again, and take their straws out of their drinks. We carefully fill them from the bottom up with ketchup or mustard (or if we are feeling particularly devilish, horsey saurce). Then we carefully put the straws back in the drinks. The unsuspecting dish boys return from a hard spell cleaning tables. They reach for a nice cold drink... yuck.
