Same as Cynic. This story sounded far too familiar to pass up. My last assignment was a living nightmare. We cleaned up a back log of work that should have taken 7 months in only 2 thinking that this was a temp to hire and the sooner we cleaned it up more work would come. Not only did we get sent back to the agency after 2 months of accolades and praise, a manager from another department who believed in their soul that they had cornered the market on success, told the agency we were too stressed out. Not having a job does that to a person but, they wouldn’t know being they have a job. Temping is a sad state of affairs but, we still need to eat. Good Luck and Keep Trying, I will!

Same as me in which way? Just not hired, or your job was sent overseas as well? Either way, that sucks. Good luck temping and searching!

STANDING; From now on if the job is for 7 months make it last. Being called "stressed" means you were working too fast and somebody looked bad. It's difficult to gage when you are dropped into a job as a temp like a paratrooper going into battle. -/- We never know what deals are being made upstairs, some are political and/or it means more money for someone. There is even a chance that a decision is based on someone in the boardroom having the hots for whomever - and makes his decision based on that.

I did temp work for several different companies for a YEAR. Thankfully, I found a full-time position, but talk about stressful! Kudos to you for making it through & affording the bills.
