Hi guys--
Cat lady has taken out her claws again and has gained a high-strung buddy to help her out bullying me over my work. Want to know the funny part? SHE'S blaming ME for HER mistakes! She works in a completely different area and department from me, but our work paths cross daily, as we both handle the medical records in our office. However, she likes to bypass my section of the office with vital info so that she can blame the problems on us!
Now, I've gone around and asked different people in the office about Cats lady, and they all HATE her! Every last one of 'em! It's nice to know I'm not alone. Not that I'd use the word hate to describe my own feelings towards her directly. I just feel sorry for her, but she sure does annoy the freakin' hell outta me!
Anywho, so this past wednesday morning she comes up to the front part of my section of the office and is tearing through the files, saying that stuff wasn't being put in the charts, etc.. She looked at me and said that half of the stuff I had in the filebook was in a different section of the office, and that I needed to do blah blah blah...
I just looked at her, listened to her fussing a second, and just turned and walked to the other section of the office. I didn't have all the facts, and I didn't want her to think that she'd ruffled my feathers. I didn't say a word to her. Tiny Lady (one of the other filers) had to leave suddenly because her father-in-law was suddenly ill with a stroke or something and it was a family emergency for her. I was in her section trying to help her out by doing some of her filing for her. Mine was done. Cats lady probably knew we were trying to help out Tiny Lady, and decided to come in and needle us by making a huge fuss, and dragging one of the secretaries (I'll just call her Ego girl because she never stops talking about herself--she thinks she's the perfect employee) into the melee. I refused to participate, but the whole idea of it all being my fault bugged me the whole day, so I thought long and hard about it all night (made it hard to sleep) and then I went around to the other secretaries the next day and asked them about the filing, and if I was doing a good job, and if the Doctors were okay with it and all. They all said to me the same thing, that I was doing a great job and they had no complaints, except for Ego girl who they said had a big head and to just ignore her.
One of the secretaries even showed me a grievance letter she had written to the office manager, because she seems to be facilitating the Cats Lady's offensive behavior. In the letter she threatened to go to the senior partner if it continued (and he has no tolerance for foolishness, bless him!). Here's my dilemma: I would love to complain to the office manager too (and eventually the senior partner), because I've already had to once already. However, I haven't even finished my introductory period yet (I have until July). Should I wait until that's passed to gather supporters and jointly complain? What's a good way to handle this? Any input?

I forgot to mention that I went to Ego girl to get an explanation out of her as to why stuff wasn't making it into the charts, and she just kept repeating the questions back to me in a very rude, condescending way. I went over to tell her I was sorry for the foul-up (that wasn't my fault)and that I was trying to fix it, but I needed her input. She was absolutely of no help to me. She just needed someone to bully. If she ever talks that way to me again.....I'm gonna go buy a bottle of maple suryp and pour it in her chair first thing in the morning.....I wish i could come up with something better..... :oP

Oh no! Sorry you're having trouble at your new job! Since you asked, I think it is a very bad idea to complain about anything so soon at a new job. You will look like a complainer and they are not gonna side with the person with the least seniority, so I say bite your lip for now and bide your time.
