I'm obviously having a bad day and need to vent, so here goes a quick story.
One day I walked into the office. The boss was telling two first shift officers what he wanted done the next day. The next day I walked into the office and the boss was questioning the two why they did exactly what they were told to do. When the one officer stated "You told us to do that." The boss replied "No I didn't." As the boss has stated many times in the past "I DON"T LIE!" and it is futile to argue, we let him blow his gasket.
The point to all these stories is that the faster we get the boss to shut his mouth by not arguing with him, the less BS we hear, and the faster he goes home. Talking to a brick wall is more productive and less annoying. The brick wall doesn't listen either, but at least it doesn't give stupidity back.
