What do you do about a habitual lying boss? It all started when he was hired. Very impressive resume. Took us about a month to realize most of it was lies. From there he has consistently broken everything he touches, only to dump his failed projects on us at the last minute saying it needs to be done asap.
He was hired by the top dog against the advice of the folks who interviewed him. Now the top dog realized his mistake, but doesn't want to look bad by firing someone HE hired.... So instead of putting a stop to the bleeding, he just turns his head and says we have to make it work.
I've already figured out my solution... I'm working on my exit as we speak.

Very familiar story, unfortunately. WHy can't these guys realize that admitting a mistake and fixing it is so much better than letting it get worse, and ultimately hurting the best workers they have in the progress. This kind of mentality can destroy a company. Pride goeth before a fall.

my "supervisor" often tries to foist some of her and the responsibility deficient staff's many mistakes onto me even though I have nothing to do with those issues. When I provide a rebuttal loaded with facts I get a "uh...ok" or an apology for bothering me! That feeling is sooooo sweet! Feels good to vent!

The head honcho will realize his mistakes after all of the "clean up" crew have resigned. That's usually how it works.
