I answered a short job ad for Business Development Manager in late November. Dr. Scam called me and I had a couple of questions for him. There were 4 business areas listed and I was concerned about being able to do each one of them well, he replied that they were all connected and he does everything well. I asked him if there was a Business Plan. Should have got a clue when he said no. Dr. Scam was a Chiropractor who was phasing out his business by a certain date and had Dobermans. Met a friend of mine at a dog training club who had Dobermans that was related to the ones he had and she had just started with him as her new chiropractor where I had to break the news to her that he was leaving practice within the month. Big clue! Interview went well, kept up on pushing myself for the job and got it. Got in there and found out that the CFO had been after Dr. Scam for months for a business plan and budgets! Now I am in Sales and Marketing, not an Excel wizard with pivot tables and the like. Dr. Scam wanted us to change the Cntl/Alt/Del on his computer bootup he was so clueless about technology. He didn't get it when I told he he would have to ask Mr. Gates about that:) What the CFO wanted was right but what Dr. Scam wanted was not physically possible. Then the Administrative Assistant From Hell is another story! I was relieved that he came in after less than 3 weeks with a termination notice and a severance check. I got even, I wrote the CFO a long letter.
