Hey Guys--
I was reading some Dilbert cartoons, and I saw one where Dilbert was in an interview, and was asked the question, "What is your biggest flaw?"
That got me thinking... What if a potential employer asked you that kind of question? What would you say?
My response would be I'm allergic to BS and have a severe intolerance for egomaniacs.

I've been asked that in interviews before. It is in some 'Managers Guide to Interviewing Book' along with some other stupid questions. My real flaw: sometimes when I'm concentrating on work I have a short temper for people who interupt me. My real answer when asked the question: sometimes I get too focused on one thing and need to remember to broaden my focus.

You have to give them a flaw, otherwise they think you think you're perfect. I have a friend who always says that he needs to focus on working less than 10 hours---give em the idea that he's a workaholic. =) Then when he works less, he's improving. =)

When I've been asked that, I usually try to crack a joke at my own expense. "I have too many to list..." If I get a laugh or a grin, I give them the honest answer that, my worst flaw is trying to make everbody happy. If I get the look of befuddlement or something, it's the textbook, I believe I can do whatever is put in front of me.

My biggest flaw....hmmmm. Well, I'm intolerant of egocentric, egomaniacal, pompous, arrogant, condescending, tyrannical, manipulative, hypocritical, management types. But..I digress....*^_^*

I told them I hated people eating in cubes next to me. I didn't get the job, but I was honest... you think that is why they didn't call me back?

*****I don't have any flaws, I prefer to call them challenges.***** I worked as a customer service rep as a temp, and the company I worked for had a policy that we could NOT call complaints, issues, or problems what there were. We had to call them challenges. Apparantly, it was more 'touchy feely' and positive. I don't know if the customers knew how much of a challenge they could be somtimes.....
