Arrrggghhh!!!! No 'story' pre se, but I just need to hear the sound of my furious typing so I don't have to think about my moronic boss even though he stalks throughout the office like a retarded cervil. working entry level in this office is painful, and it seems that the smarter you are here, the lower you are in the hierarchy...GOD! this place resembles the schema of hell I always pictured in my mind.
thanks for letting me unload.

The smarter you are, the more of a threat you're considered. I guess your best bet is to act stupid if you want to get ahead. It sounds like you work at my office.

I preach and preach and preach...does anybody listen....NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Walk up and straighten your bosses tie sometime (just make sure that you have enough perfume on your fingers to make his wife verrrryy jealous).

My Bimbo Manager stalks back and forth while throwing her Farrah Fawcett hair around like a deranged lion. I think that she feels that this is intimidating behavior. I guess, if we were in the jungle. (Yeah...I know...)Yesterday she climbed a rolling file cabinet to "See what was on top" - while it was rolling back and forth. Sometimes, she open drawers and starts shuffling whatever is inside of them, the louder the better. Then she will slam the drawer several times for emphasis. ("See, I am so efficient, I am doing something very important!") I do believe that the LACK of intelligence may be the prerequisite for management in most of the corporate world. That and something else BIG. I am starting to think it does not matter, just something physically BIG - big hair, big belly, big shoulders, big voice...something big that makes them think they are "oh-so-smart" and powerful. I guess we are more like animals than we like to think, especially in some circumstances. I have got to get out of there.

I love hearing myself type. My cube-mates can always tell when I'm in a hurry or in a bad mood because the typing gets really loud. What I hate, is loud clickers - you don't have to beat the mouse to get it to click!
