Hey Recruiter - Can't you read????

Are recruiters actually recruiters because they couldn't possibly do any other job in the world? It doesn't take many brains to type in keywork query searches against a database of resumes! So if their job is so easy...then WHY when my resume clearly states: "Will Not Relocate", "No Downtown Positions", and "West Suburbs Only", do I continue to get calls about jobs in the south, downtown, to the north, and even in other states! Idiots!

Now let's use the proper nomenclature: HEADHUNTERS. I've been in this business for __ years (like I'm gonna let you know my age ;) ) and have had headhunters from BigBlue to some robotics company try to aquire my services. Headhunters have tunnel vision. They have no concern about where you want to work as long as they get the $$$.

BPFH - That is so funny. So what, like if you life outside of Detroit in Michigan, does that mean the Michigan area could ship you to Calumet in Upper Michigan. Some commute that would be LOL

OH BOY CAN I RELATE TO THIS! I have gotten more "hot job leads" from recruiters about jobs that have nothing to do with what I am qualified to do than I can keep track of. And oh how about those "oh-so-personal" emails that they send you? The emails pretty much just bark at you. Then they expect you to use their services just because they sent you some bossy email for a job that turns out to be non-existant once they have you on the phone and "just wanted to talk about what our firm can do for you". Ughh.

I keep getting emails for jobs in the (and I quote) "Michigan area." Now, admittedly, this means that they've shown they can read (as I do live in Michigan), but the "Michigan area?!?"
