Halloween office weirdo

Every year a dude at my job wears a full on halloween getup, complete with MASK, and doesn't take it off or say a word the whole day. Even if someone speaks to him he doesn't reply and just stares at you. If you ask me, he takes it way too far. He just walks around the office floors and doesn't do a lick of work. This year he dressed up as that creepy burger king king and yet again is not speaking to anyone to complete the effect. He's worked here for like, forever...and as far back as anyone can remember he's done this. I am fairly new here and can't quite digest the creepiness of it. I am just glad my cube is not next to his. Oddly though...it does make me hungry for a burger.

I am not kidding. The CEO of our company (albeit small company) came to work dressed as the tooth fairy. He was not a far cry from that comedian guy who dresses up as the tooth fairy on the tv commercial (Snackwell's???).

Do what I do. Call in sick on Halloween. I do every year. Works for me.

Okay, Halloween is my favourite holiday. I totally decorate my cube, and go goth. I'm the token witch here anyway. Besides, SOMETHING'S gotta liven up the place, since it's like being sucked dry daily by a vampire anyway.

Hilarious! We had a guy like that at my last job. He actually got busted last year by security because post-911 no face masks or weapons were permitted. He was sent home. Whats with the silent thing too? The guy I knew did that as well.

A woman in our office came in today dressed as a dalmation. She had her hair in pony tails and socks over her ponytails like dogs' ears. The outfit was adorable, all spotted too, you know. It was when she had the nerve to comment about someone's maturity level that I had to bite my tongue.

One of my long ago employers or managers insisted that workers appear in a Halloween getup even though most work was quite physical and active and we had to be nimble. To top it off this particular place was very warm year round. People were complaining how uncomfortable they were but nobody dared to speak up because a similar place of work sent an employee home to get into costume and told her not to bother to come back without one. She had to buy one first, was very upset and phoned her mother who was standing next to me giving direction and advice. Needless to say I always found a good reason to take Halloween off.
