Everyone thinks my boss is an angel!! I have seen the otherside of her. I took it to the manager and he took her side.
When anyone comes into our work area she lowers her voice to a nice sweet tone and lavishes attention on them like she is only interested in them.
Whenever I ask her anything it's almost like she is clenching her teeth together when she has to answer me. She also sends work related emails to me at home after hours. Berating me. I really wish there was a law against the crap she does so I could put in a complaint about her!!!!
She is supposed to be training me but she tells me as little as possible so I will make mistakes. Then she tells me after the fact How I was supposed to do something. And yes I do ask questions. But she answered like I should have already known what I asked her.

I can relate. I was recently transferred to help this woman out when my boss quit to start his own business. He was a great boss to. The idea was to try to replace him, so I was assured of a job when my dept was restaffed. Unfortunately working for this woman/b*tch was hell and she could sense I didn't like her. She didn't like me as well and made my life terrible. Even though I did everything she asked me to do, even get her oatmeal a few times per week, (not in my job description) I was let go for a performance appraisal that was to reflect the previous years of performance, she had two months of knowledge of me. I doubt my prior boss was even contacted. So since I didn't receive a good rating from the B*tch, I'm banned from ever working at that company again. It was a great company, great benefits etc. I was so PISSED!!! I wish there was a way to get even with her. For more of the story, see "Good Girls Finish Last." Remember, never ever work for a woman boss! I sure never will!!

I understand what you are saying. My boss was the same way - only much worse. I would think if she is berating you in e-mails sent to your home, you could do something about it. She is invading your privacy and harassing you. Maybe you should show these to your HR person or whoever is over her and see what they say. Keep me posted and hang in there. You don't deserve to be treated like that.

If she's sending you those emails at home, that's going too far. Print them out. All of them. If you don't have any because you've deleted them, start saving them (and printing them out. A paper trail is your friend.

yeah I agree, that's harrassment to be invading you at home. And to berate you on your offtime no less!

>She also sends work related emails to me at home after hours. Berating me. Thats harrasment, plain and simple. Print them out to HR...

Why should anyone put up with getting harrassing emails on their private email address? HR isn't your only recourse, but if you are checking your work email at home when you get these, your complaint will make it look like she is working extra hours to "help" you shape up...most of us have known folks that leave voice mail on our work phones to look like they are working harder than anyone. She may be keeping copies, too. In your favor, her emails aren't considered private. Any chance you'd get overtime for "taking her suggestions" as additional supervision time? HR will notice THAT>
