Candy!

I'm new to this board and not quite sure how it works.

However, this tip is for those in the situation where somebody keeps eating the candy in the dish on your desk.

Try diet candy, especially that which is sweetened with sorbitol or something similar.

What's not generally known is that five pieces of that kind of candy becomes an effective laxative.

Just think what would happen to some greedy person!

Man, that's just wrong! If you don't want people to eat your candy, put it in a drawer. I'm pretty sure the general office etiquette, is if the candy is out in the open, it is free game for anyone. Man, you guys are bah-hum-bugs. I hope you don't work in my office...

So true! A candy dish on the desk is an open invite for people saying, hey, stop by my desk and talk, relax, feel comfortable and have a piece of candy. It's supposed to be a nice social gesture, not an antisocial bowel movement aid.

Chuckled over the last entry , office etiquette means taking one or two candies, making polite conversation while unwrapping and eating. Only pigs shovel it in and exhale. They deserve the extra trip to the john.
