Stupid, small minded, insecure female micromanager

So I'm reporting to this woman who basically was a secretary and somehow fell into a supervisory role a few years ago b/c she knew the right person (local County Government at its best). Now whenever this woman is in a meeting, she'll contribute the standard management buzzwords (i.e. proactive, offline, etc, etc), she'll take other's ideas and move some words around and then call them her own ideas. She lacks creativity, and she lacks formal education. Don't get me wrong, I've worked with a TON of people w/o formal education, but their common sense was strong enough, as well as their expertise in the IT field (i.e. appropriate certifications). This woman has an A.A., a book of management-speak and that's it. She and I used to be somewhat friendly, but ever since I started to report to her, she nickel and dimes me on when I come and go (and I'm in a manager level position), she takes over meetings that I've called, and she steals my ideas. She asked me to MAKE HER COPIES when I first started working for her. I told her point blank "I'm not your secretary". No real specific story here, just venting. She also just hired a friggin secretary - no other manager at her level has a secretary! If you guys have seen the British version of "The Office", this woman is a female David Brent.

This person is a dangerous bully that will eventually try to get rid of you. Leave, or go to bullyonline.org for ways to diagnose, document, and get rid of her before she causes real damage. (P.S. Use of managment buzzwords without knowing their real meaning is tell-tale.)

I think ALL management buzzwords are without real meaning ;)~

She will do everything she can to get rid of anyone who will challenge her and/or make her look bad even if someone isn't trying to do so. I have experience on this one...

Hmmm...have you considered quietly feeding her a BAD idea?
