I don't care about your daughter's fractured skull

I had the pleasure of working for a women who did not empathize with anyone elses problems. You see she had a severly handicaped son, whose problems were always worse than anyone elses. One night my daughter fell and fractured her skull. She was admitted to ICU and was blind for a couple of hours. The next day I told my boss about this and she said "I don't care about your daughter's fractured skull". What a heartless Bitc...

My son is 11 and is autistic. His condition is mild, but he's had many struggles. I've actually had people say that because he's mild, it's no big deal since their kid has Downs, etc. Unbelievable! This lady needs to climb down off the cross and get real!!

Sadly, it seems like even hardships become a competition these days...who has it hardest... A woman at my work compares everything to her experiences growing up and everytime she hears of a hardship of another (one guy's wife had a heart attack while she was driving and died) she pipes up and makes a comment about something she witnessed growing up in the projects and says "aint nobody got nothin on me". Why...why do you have to be Queen Hardship? Some people pride themselves on being the biggest victim. BTW Keachie, I am sorry to hear about your experiences with rudeness.

Some bosses seem to totally lack empathy. Last spring, there was some serious flooding in the town I live in due to Hurricane Ivan. Many people lost their homes and businesses. Luckily, I only lost power for three days. The storm hit over a weekend, and I brought the pictures into work on Monday. When I came in and said to my boss "There's really bad flooding in Yardley" she curtly replied "There's flooding everywhere. Is your computer fixed yet?"

We had one supervisor acting just as rude, tactless and uncaring, she developed Altsheimer's. Most bosses will at least fake some empathy. It's somewhat hard to listen to when you know they don't give a hoot.
