I know who causes my problems

I will never forget the man who interviewed with me many years ago. We noticed that the dates on his resume of his last few jobs were listed in months instead of years. This raised a few red flags for us but his experience looked good so we decided to bring him in for an interview. The interview went well until we asked about what seemed to be job hopping. We inquired as to why he only seems to stay a few months at his last few jobs. The room got very quiet and his demeanor seemed to do a 180 and he seemed to be brooding over something. Finally he took a breath and said "I KNOW who is responsible for my little 'problem'". I said "Responsible for your problem? I don't understand what you mean." His face got really red at that point and he glared at the two of us interviewing him and said "Don't play dumb with me, I know who you're with". With that he got up and very deliberately put his finger on the side of his cheek as if to point to something inside his mouth and walked backward to the door staring at us the whole time. The minute the door closed behind him we called security to escort him out. When they got there they couldn't find him for about half an hour (which had all of us worried). Finally they found him sitting in the stairwell two flights above our floor ripping up his resume into tiny shreds of confetti. When they took him out, he scattered it all over the stairwell. Hopefully this man got help because I really think he was disturbed.

HO-LY...I thought I had met some doozies in my life but that takes the cake.

He was disturbed. We had a run-in with a similar psycho (paranoid schizophrenic) a few years ago. After complaining to top management, he was disciplined. His reply? "That won't protect you..." Management is afraid of these types. That's how you ended up interviewing one of them. Glad you are all safe and sound!

Keachie(06/30/2005)
Oh,forgot to say that he was arrested and terminated. He was hired twice after, fired again, ended up in a facility, etc. The fear of these people and their tendency to avoid help and treatment makes them EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!

I agree. Be glad this came out in the interview...all too often these types slide in an organization and then it is extremely difficult to get rid of them...and by the time you do, damage has been caused.

If he has ever done work for the Government, that's maybe what has him freaked out. Read the "McKinney Report." It's online. It at least offers an explanation for his behavior and his job hopping.

OK, who's the other Keachie out there ?
