The Boss Goes Easy on Slackers

Posted on 06/19/2005 by Brenda S.

My boss wants everyone to like her so she has a problem with discipline and getting slackers to handle their work. The more charming the slacker, the less he or she has to do. Meanwhile, the rest of us work 50 plus hours a week with no overtime. One guy is allowed to come in at 10 a.m. while the rest of us get there for 8 a.m. Did I mention that he leaves at 3 p.m.?

Another slacker is the her best buddy. Guess how heavy her workload is?

Needless to say, most of the workers resent her. But we work in a highly-specialized type of business in a small town and most of us cannot get jobs without uprooting ourselves, spouses and children.

The bottom line is that no one respects the boss.
