Recently my office was moved to another area so I could be near the Technical groups and other managers. This is a pretty nice area though I miss my window view and it is further away (if that is possible) from the parking lot.
The new area has very soft carpeting and the way my office is arranged, due to power outlets and network jacks, I have my back to the door.
Just this morning, I was typing away on an email when suddenly a hand rested on my left shoulder and I heard a very quiet voice right in my left ear say
"Excuse me."
I leaped out of my chair with a start as I just knew the Lord had sent an Angel down to get me and the Angel was saying "Excuse me...but it's time to go!"
After restarting my heart, I noticed the small scared woman standing there with a startled look on her face.
She said "I'm so sorry! You are the only one in here and I was just looking for [other managers name]".
I replied that it was ok but just to please start wearing a bell around her neck because she walks WAY to quietly....
