In HR for a large company, I interview at least one person a day. One day I was with a candidate and, as usual, I was giving the schpeil about why our company is a good place to work and he actually raised his hand to stop me mid-sentence while he answered his CELL PHONE!!! He proceeded to serve as mediator of a fight between two of his children, giving me sympathetic looks and eye rolls the whole time. At that point, I felt I had now seen it all. Needless to say, he was NOT hired.
