What do I do? The group of companies are privately owned by the 7th wealthest family in the world. They are above the law. So they treat their employees and like so. We are wage slaves, but are the highest paid in 100 mile radius. I've been on same work(& I love to do my job)of 20 years. But life changed on 6-8-06. My co-worker of 20 years(friend)& had been promoted 30 months earlier to my supervisor; they fired him on the spot before I arrived that a.m. NO one knew why. He has a classic winable lawsuit for wrongful dismissal, as they told him to his face it was because a military war man was coming back & they were 1 supervisor too many. WRONG!!! You can't do that @ a 20 year mans expense, if they had something else on the guy they should have told him. See how mismanage and unplanned they were on his military return. The new guy was so unexperienced I even had to show him how to sign on the computer. I have run the department for years, and it has done well. There are 4 separate and distinct jobs on us 2 and we have to work very close together. This is my first experience with a micromanager. They pimp and have opening and closing ceremonies everyday in front office. They go to the round table alot and he knows way too much of my personal business which means it has come back by way of people talking. He snatches, yells, and asks tricky questions to turn things around. He also has worked for same co. 20 yrs. After he had been on this job 12 days & me showing him every single thing to keep the place running, he turns to me and asks me what my name is, first middle and last. Can you believe after 20 years, he didn't even bother to look it up or as someone, just me to my face. Where did he learn all this? We have all lived @ this remote facility the same amount of time, & we were not trained this way. He has a very mean temperament & very huge ego. Plus he is always grabbing his crotch and telling me about his prostate problems. Have you ever heard of such a thing? He is only 45 and I hope cancer gets him soon. Meanwhile what must I do? I am female and 51, HR says it is very hard for them do anything with a female over 40? What do you say? I say they are above the law and can do anything they want. They answer to no one that I see. OSHA, FRA, Federal Laws, State Laws, & State Laws of their homeoffices can't do anything with these people that I see.
Plant Manager is just like him, that is why he was put in here to "straighten out the department". 6806lifechanged

First of all, document him grabbing is crotch. That is sexual harrassment, and is punishable in a court of law. The problem is producing evidence. Think carefully. Plan carefully. Think like a criminal. Get under their skin, find our what makes him tick or what insecurities he may have. Then calculate and master several plans of attack! Always have a plan B, in case plan A falls apart. If all else fails and you must flee for your life, when he grabs his crotch, grab a hold of his balls and squeeze tightly and then twist and pull. Thus removing his problem altogther! Best wishes. And if you lack the intellectual ability to scheme or if you can take the higher moral road, I suggest looking for another job.
