The Three Page E-mail Manager

This one should be in the bosses boss category. My boss was recently canned for numerous reasons, but mostly because he didn't get along with anyone. So after his sudden departure I was left attending a few meetings on my own for some new project work. Now this is not unfamiliar grounds for me, as I've been a developer for 10+ years as both an independent consultant and employee of numerous companies. Well apparently I've been doing something wrong by attending these meetings and my bosses boss (CIO) is making his displeasure known through THREE PAGE e-mails he keeps sending to the other managers (but not me). I got wind from one of the other managers. I haven't even done anything with the new project yet! I just sent a few emails around asking for input/thoughts/opinions. He got wind and made some extremely rude comments about my actions behind my back to the other managers. When I first got wind of it, I just ignored it. The guy is a tool anyway. Then a few days later I found out he'd been sending these long-ass e-mails (THREE PAGERS) to everyone STILL complaining about whatever. Little do they know I'm planning my exit very soon. I've had enough of that petty crap.

I say your right about that, who needs that kind of stress. You seem ready for new and better things, go for it! Just remember that life is a journey not a destination, take your time and enjoy yourself. Find a job that you enjoy!

Yeah, this guy is a real creep.... If there are any negative consequences for the company because of your departure, he'll blame others for "making you leave". That's why he sends out crap behind your back instead of addressing any issues with you directly. He's also aware that you're head-and-shoulders above him in talent. WHAT A TOOL!!!
