My Bimbo Boss Update!

Oh people, the things I could tell you... It has become really unbelievable, even surreal. I DID file a formal complaint, after a lot of soul searching. I kept thinking and believing that the upper management really, really, honestly wanted to have a good company, and kept trying to tell them what was happening...HA! A joke. Finally, they started firing the people who stood up for me, even though everything that the Bimbo tried to accuse me personally of fell through. (THAT was from good documentation, and all your suggestions...) I couldn't take it anymore, when she almost caused a co-worker to have a stroke, right in front of me, and I decided to follow through with a lawsuit. NOW, the management is watching me like a hawk, and SHE is circling me constantly, looking for openings to screw me over. Since they have been served, they cannot actually fire me (unless they are totally stupid). But they did call in the Big Kahuna, a gigantic a-hole from the "HOME OFFICE", who attacked me publicly and insulted me in front of my co-workers. When I tried to defend myself, the Bimbo ran for the office administrator. HE called me outside and hissed at me, "CLOSE YOUR MOUTH and LOSE YOUR ATTITUDE! SAY NOTHING TO ANYONE, EVER!" Well, it just so happened that I was recording this!!! - The recorder was IN MY HAND while he was berating me, right in front of this clown. Amazingly, the Bimbo recognized it, even if he didn't, and pointed it out to the big wig. Then they all freaked out. They surrounded me, (the TRIFECTA from HELL) and asked me if I was recording them! I said, yes. Then they asked me, "Is that LEGAL?" I assured them that it was. After all, how could the police send people in with "wires", if it was not legal? So they all backed off, and had a bunch of meetings, where I am sure that they were advised that it WAS legal. So now, they are in a holding pattern and pretty much hating the fact that I am drawing breath. I am still in shock about all of this...all the innocent people who have been affected, even lost their jobs, because of this horrid woman. Obviously, she is being protected by someone pretty powerful...and who is willing to risk a lawsuit, and god knows what else, for this BIMBO. And the beat goes on...

As I was reading this, I actually got cold chills! I will tell you that you are a brave person and very wise. But please be careful! It sounds like these people would not hesitate to injure or kill someone. It is funny, my boss laughed at me behind my back about my "silly little documentation" that is until he found out that it was legal! Now he does watch what he says around me, but he is not real careful about what he says behind my back. But what the fool does not know is if you can prove defamation of character you can take legal action on that too! The thing is, I really don't care what he says about me behind my back. His opinion means very little! I hope you are safe and watch out! This organization may not be completely "above the law". Please be aware of strange coincidences! Once a bully is threatened they can become physically aggressive! Best wishes and please keep us posted and be safe!

Day Um, you got them on tape! Whoo Hoo! Make two copies of that tape and put one in a safe deposit and send the other to CNN.

I have to tell you, this horrible group of haters known as "the Firm" is getting award after award from all kinds of civic groups (which, of course they constantly send around self-congratulatory emails about). Supposedly, they are all for "free speech" and personal self-expression...except, of course, when it come to their own employees. I really wonder how those civic groups would react, if they heard what is going on right in the hallowed halls of their special dream team. Complete with a recording, of course. How embarrassing. Yes, I have already shipped the last one, with the hissing snake telling me to "CLOSE YOUR MOUTH, AND SAY NOTHING, EVER AGAIN!" to the advisor on this case, and have been assured it is an actionable offense. Well, this should be interesting. Unfortunately, the "Bimbo" is still at it, she can't seem to stop. I think she might actually be insane. I heard from another staff member today...the "Bimbo" targeted her, and tried to set her up, because she put in a good word for me, when asked. Everyone (the staff members anyway) are in shock that this woman is still around. Whatever the draw is, the higher-ups sure aren't saying. (I wonder why...?) I sure wish I did not have to be a part of this soap opera, but here I am. The worst part is knowing how really horrid these people are, people who I truly respected and thought of as role models. What a shame.

One thing regarding legality, police have to get COURT PERMISSION to do a wire tap or put a hidden wire on someone. I think what is keeping you safe is you did not HIDE your recorder but had it in plain view.

This may be true-I never did hide it. Get this-today, she came in to the department, and announced a meeting. We all gathered around and she turned to me and said, "Am I being recorded?" I said, "Yes, ma'am." and she got up and said, "Well, I guess our meeting is cancelled." WHAT...??? What is the problem? Is she really that determined to say things she will not be accountable for? Later, she waited until I was alone and approached me again, with the same question. Again I said, yes... But this time, she could not stop herself. She told me I was way behind my co-workers, I wasn't keeping up, everyone else was holding up their hand, except for me. I disagreed, of course, and she brushed me off with a snotty, "Please finish your work by the end of the day." and walked away. So, I took a picture of my desk, and my co-workers desks...guess who has the most orderly desk, with the least amount of outstanding work? Not that I want to get my co-workers in trouble, far from it. But this is another example of her outrageous harassment and targeting. I used to call in the HR person to document this, when she would accuse me of being a slacker, but that is not acceptable anymore, as the HR person conveniently "forgets" what happened, if the evidence is in my favor. So, now I am forced to take these extreme measures, as I was directly told that my word meant "nothing". God, what a nightmare. Some other staff members today told me that they also were targeted by this woman, because they stood up for me...and she is not even their boss. They cannot figure out why she is being allowed to continue her venomous camnpaign, and it is eroding everyone's confidence. This is ridiculous!

SouthernProgrammer(08/10/2006)
What is pretty obvious is that you and your co-workers are being targeted by a Narcissist who is used to getting her own way and will not stand for anyone daring to stand up to her. Keep up with the evidence, if you ever wind up in court then sue her for harrasment using the documentation you have collected. By the way, did you happen to take a picture of HER desk? You should also take pictures of her when she wears outrageous outfits, then if you are called into court get the co-worker who was dismissed for wearing jeans to come in.

MORE! What an outrageous twit. She has now taken it upon herelf to send us daily "project lists", which she expects completed by the end of the day, no matter what. She called a meeting today, and showed us her "PIE CHART" of what she thinks our daily tasks consist of. It was HAND DRAWN, because, as she proudly exclaimed, "I did this by myself, without the aid of a computer!" More like, she does not know how to USE a computer! Which, trust me, is really the case. So, after she shows us her brakdown of our daily work, which bears NO resemblance to reality, she says that she has "determined" that we, as a group, have 6% of our time during the day devoted to "UNACCOUNTED" activities. These could include, but are not restricted to, going to the rest-room, getting a drink of water, taking a PERSONAL phone call (OH NO!!!), etc. Then, this idiot exclaimed that we had to get that number down, and be "more productive"!!! Oh, guess what - her stupid-*ss PIE CHART had nothing at all about ridiculous and useless meetings wasting company time. Cut those out, and you definitely would get the number down by half! Now, if we could just figure out a way not to have to go to the bathroom...

C - -(08/12/2006)
You don't really want to do that - do you? Sometimes in the good old 90's a group of women sued because they had to wear diapers to stay at the assembly line. At least they could sue and win.

Corporate Ladder Rung: CIODharmadee(08/13/2006)
OMG. I was joking...it is scary to think that there is a company that would even try such a thng. But I guess it should not surprise me, after what I have been though, and what I have read about here.

If you have brought a lawsuit, then you must have a legal rep. At this point, recording everything, (maybe even videotaping meetings) may be appropriate. It would be much more effective to say that you are doing so on advice of attorney. Face it, your career there is over. However, a nice severance package and reference will do until you find something else. I had one collegue who was allowed to write his own reference , which the HR dept. signed off on. The less said now by you the better. Watch out for leading statements like "you're out to screw this company over" or "you've always wanted to do this".

Hey Dharmadee, I love following this saga. It just keeps getting more and more bizarre each time. I can't believe (oh wait yes I can) that she brought in a home made pie chart and then spouted off at you guys. She is nuts! But you know that. The whole thing is comical at this point and it seems like you're starting to view things that way too. I remember reading your first story and how down you were and how defeated and desperate for help you seemed. It is great to see you coming out of the woods. Keep it going! You'll be able to help a lot of people with your experience.

SouthernProgrammer(08/14/2006)
A home made pie chart? Does she thinks this counts like "Home Made Pie"? What if someone said "Hey! That figure is wrong!"? Would she have sat down and redrawn her chart? Yep! We don't need those stinking excel charts! I've got my own set of crayola crayons and a ruler!

I have to thank a lot of you here at Jobschmob for being able to get through this mess. Remember when you guys advised me to seek the help of a therapist, for documentation? I am still going, once a month, to continue to document the ongoing toxic environment. I told him today what was happening, and he said to me, "I can't believe that you have made it this far, I did not think you would still be there." I was surprised, but he explained to me that most people can't handle so much abuse, they wind up "losing" it, or quitting. He said he observed that I had reached a point where I was able to see what was going on, but not identify myself with the problem. It has not been easy, but you are right, it has been funny too. After the Bimbo presented her idiotic "home-made pie chart", the new administrator piped up to say that we should all be willing to help her "updtate " it, as it was (get this) a "LIVING DOCUMENT"! Wow, the Bimbo's pie chart is like the CONSTITUTION! Then she asked if any of us had any questions, comments, or changes for the chart...but she quickly corrected herself, "Um, No-NOT any CHANGES..." Of course not. That would mean that we can think for ourselves? Heavens, NO! It is hard to believe that this stuff is going on, and yet, I swear, it is. You would all be surprised to know how huge this firm is, how well thought of. It has sure opened my eyes about a lot of things that happen in this world.
