It seems that I've pissed off the wrong person in management at my company and my boss has been tasked with getting me to leave. He's doing this by constant harassment, extra work (50% increase in load to a work week that's already 50-60 hours) and wearing me down with hours of meetings each week where he berates my performance.

Document! Every single time, every single thing. Make a daily log, and have it notarized weekly. Take in a recorder, and record everything that is happening. It is NOT against the law, as long as you are part of the conversation. If there are any witness, write out a statement and ask them to sign it. I know they thingk they have the upper hand, but it is not necessarily the case. If you are being singled out and targeted for a specific task, write it down. Maybe it won't stop them, but it will slow them down, and give you a chance to re-group and look for another job.

Your preaching to the choir. My boss didn't want me around any more because I had a face lift - my god!!!!. SHE has a real problem here. My advise to you is get out. Find another job. I was in my job for 6 years when I had the face lift. It took her 2 years but I finally gave up and left. You can document everything, talk about it, remind them of your work load, blah blah blah. But in the end it is just more work. It won't change until your boss is gone. To if that isn't going to happen yo be gone. Look around for who and what your references will be and put all of that documenting time and energy into GETTING OUT... Good luck

I'd stop taking any new work by letting him and everyone else in the meeting know how much work you currently have on your plate. Maybe offer him some of your extra projects he has been dumping on you. Don't just keep letting him bury you in a hole! Or perhaps the more political approach is to say you can take on the new work, but you won't be getting to it for a week or two until you complete the 20 other things he just assigned to you. Good luck!
talk about it (08/02/2006)
if i were you i would talked to my boss about this. and asked him why is he doing this. if that didn't work i would get the department of labor on this. i could file a complain about the harassment.
