Not my problem

I was recently assigned a new computer. The process involves me copying and reinstalling a bunch of files/software. It can take up to a full day to get your new PC back up to speed where you can do regular work again.

Well you can imagine it is hard to work on "regular" work during this time. I was told I should work on transfer of files from my old to my new computer "over the weekend". That was the first comical tip I got.

Then I had a manager come up to me inquiring on the status of a project. I mentioned I was kind of in the middle of swapping computers and hadn't made any progress on the project. He stated it wasn't his problem and walked away.

This place is getting more and more fun every day... =)
