I was once a stay at home mom. I decided to go back to work after my kids were in school fulltime. I wanted this job so badly and worked hard to get the poistion. Since that time I got the job I ran into an individuial from my past. She workdin the ofic thta I am located. This individual never liked me. When i first began the job the super and her assistant loved me to death. Well last October 2005, the women from my past in my office called me and told me thatshe could have me fired. I kept this to myself for a little over a month. Her (the woman from the past) behavior became very harrassing in the office. She would tell the super lies that I had did this or that. The super who I have discovered has very bad managment skills.
Getting back to my story... I waited a little over a month and I told the super because she had called me in on some she said stuff from this other woman from the past. When told the super about the (woman from the past) behavior she laughed. She then went on to say that there were other positions out there??? I was shocked. Moving forward I am now experiencing bahviors form the super that are inapproriate. I have sent to EAP for help. EAP thinks that the behavior is very inappropriate and that I am being disrespected. EAP offered mediation but that is not a good idea. My career would be ruined by these women. Have any suggestions.

Be sure to check the bullyonline.org link on the front page of this site. This woman is serial bully. Mediation will not work because she will see it as a sign of weakness. Quietly contact legal help and DOCUMENT any and all offenses by this woman and your company's response (or non-response) to her behaviors. Dig back, too. She has obviously done this before, and it seems acceptable to advise her victims to leave rather than deal with this monster.

I hope spelling and grammar is not part of your job description, honey! If so, you may be up the proverbial creek... HA HA HA!

Typing is not part of everyone's job and it's easy to get rusty. Get over yourself.

EAP=Employee Assistance Program. It purportedly is designed to help workers who are having problems. BEWARE! It can be a sneaky way for HR to gather information about you. You may have a legitimate gripe, but if they are looking to maintain the status quo (and many HR depts. are), they will use your written statements against you (e.g. "this person has driven me crazy" translates into "employee admits to having mental issues".
