This is really petty and nitpicky but.....Pet Peeve

Pet Peeve of mine: As a contractor who puts in overtime every single week, to be asked, "So when are you going to get a full-time job?" or, "Why don't you have a job?"

I've already written how my contract job will be outsourced soon, so I'm looking, but just making a general comment. 45 hours a week is an awful lot of "part-time" work, and I get paid pretty well for someone who's "unemployed."

Since when was a full-time job not a full-time job unless it came with health insurance and a flat salary?

Ask me when I'm getting a PERMANENT job, and that will make sense. But don't tell me I don't work, or that I don't work full-time.

Just sayin.' Any others with this experience?

Yeah most likely...like I said, I'm probably being picky, it's just a meme that raises my hairs, that's all.

Trust me, this is what you should do. SMILE-look this idiot in the eye and say, "I am so happy to be an independent contractor, it is great to be my OWN BOSS." Watch them cringe.

"Permanent" job is probably what the knuckledragger meant to say. Stupid people are everywhere.
