Jealous & Scheming HR Director Part II

Here's what I neglected to mention in my earlier post: When the Sociopath HR Director's husband lost his job, she hired him at the company. Of course by this time I was long gone. But how unethical is that?

Hubbie eventally got his "dream job" out of town and she left with him, as I mentioned earlier. She hired her own replacement, a woman known for her lack of work ethic. We all figure HR Nutcase hired this woman to make herself look good. I mean, everyone was laughing about it (I live in a small town and everyone knows everyone else).

Here's the corker, the replacement, whose sister serves on the company's board, was promoted after a year, despite being known as lazy and not being well liked in the company. I heard recently that one of the people who reports to the replacement ripped her a new one for not deserving the promotion.

You gotta love it.

Ya gotta love when the good ol' boys (or ladies in this case) network is used. I see it EVERYWHERE. It is not what you know, but who you know. My last company had a guy sneak in the back door from Andersen Consulting. Next thing you know, more and more Andersen consultants starting emerging in "management" positions that didn't exist before. Next thing you know, the whole department is being run by a bunch of ex-consultant weanies banding together to run the place how they see fit. They are kind of like a virus. It is better to either rid your self of them, or stay away (leave). I chose to leave since I didn't like working their much anyway.
