Cubicle Moving...

Well, we now have a new team of upper management so now we are doing what we do EVERY year which is too re-arrange the whole building and move everyones cubicles/offices around! While I am lucky in that I have only been moved for the last two years in a row some unlucky stiffs have moved every year for the last 10 years!!!!

What is actually quite amusing is that I am now at the very end of the building which looks out on our parking lot which has an exit door only for emergency evacuation. I can look out of my office window and even see my car!

But, when I leave work I must walk past those exit doors and walk 500 yards to the end of our building, exit the building, and then walk another 500 yards back to my car! Then, when I get in my car I can look through my office window and see my computer monitor!

Mind you I am not complaining...just laughing...

Speaking of counting,..My 30 year career at the airplane factory included 36 supervisors plus several job location transfers of which 2 were on my own accord.

I think we live parallel lives. Your story got me to counting...I've sat in 7 different cubicles on 4 different floors and worked for 2 different companies (thanks to outsourcing) in the past 6 years that I have been at my job. Oh the joy of corporate Blahdom.
