I was sworn under oath...I told the truth

I quit my job a couple of months ago at Delaware North Companies Sportservice at PETCO Park. I was retaliated against after calling the 1-800 help line. I told them my boss Dave Levey was harrassing me to the point of sticking out his tounge at me repeatedly over a course of time. I resigned in leau of discharge. Today at my unemployment hearing the judge kept on pursing that I was stressed and should have seen a doctor. I then pointed out to him that Dave Levey stuck his tounge out at me repeatedly, when I reported nothing happened. When I demonstrated what he did to the judge, you could see the judge was upset. It finally felt could to tell someone what had happened to me. Beware of Dave Levey Delaware North Companies Sportservice at PETCO Park.

The sticking out the tongue thing has happened to me too. What upsets the judge is that it means that childlike behavior rules at your workplace. Your boss didn't want to facilitate or increase your productivity (which is really his job), but rather to ellicit a negative response that would create negative energy and consequences. Your boss is a social psychopath. Go to bullyonline.org for more...and good luck!

sticking out his tongue like how? The only way I can picture is like in a playful way or like an old evil strega nona or something...

Are you talking about Petco Park in San Diego?

Ann(05/11/2006)
I'm wondering if these are the same poeple who took over Old Town in San Diego because if they are, they will not get any of my money. They can just leave my hometown and go back where you belong.

A Couple of answers to the posting. 1. He stuck out his tounge like he was dog panting...Some sort of attraction. 2. They are the same parent company that took over Old Town in San Diego. 3. Yes, it is at PETCO Park in San Diego, home of the San Diego Padres.

--So he stuck his tongue out as suggestive as Gene Simmons the founder and demon from KiSS? -- I can see the judge blanching. I hope you win the battle and the war on this one.

Did anyone else find themselves sticking out their tongue while reading this trying to see how that would look?......No? Dammit, I did. LOL Fortunately nobody walked by!

sdbilly(05/14/2006)
Yeah!! I won my case....20 days for the other party to respond. Please beware of Help Lines...they are only there to protect the company. The case becomes, in my case, he said, he did, if you don't take a picture of every interaction with your boss you have to fight.

Congratulations!!! I bet you feel GREAT! Good to hear a little guy prevails!

Good for you! Unfortunately, what he said is true, if you don't have the unbiased 3rd party in court. Unless you have a PICTURE or RECORDING, it doesn't matter. That is what we have become, as a society.

Do you think he was singling you out for some reason. I have worked in a business where my boss never felt I dressed good enough (even though I was in business attire everyday - she wanted everyone to be pretty). I am just trying to understand why he would stick out his tongue at you or did he do it to everyone?

sdbilly(08/02/2006)
He would stick his tongue out when no one could see...in my cubicle, in the hallway...he made a comment about sealing a letter with my tongue.

kkulow(08/02/2006)
SDBilly, I think you may be suffering from what is known as Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome. This is a neurological disorder that effects the memory. It is caused by excessive drinking. Which as a fellow co-worker of yours at Qualcomm and Petco, I have been witness to the many days you came to work intoxicated or became intoxicated at work. What sickens me is that because of your alcoholism, in your mind you have created stories that to you are true. Such as this supposed attraction your former boss had with you. Why would he want you, when I have met his beautiful wife and child and know how much he loves them both. Your alcoholism has also made it impossible for you to complete assignments. Thus causing you to be in the possition where you had to quit or you probably would have been fired. You are lucky you had a mental breakdown or you probably would have been fired.

You are right about "HELP" lines provided by the company. I was told by one "social worker" that she was sorry, but she could not advise me to do anything that would negatively impact my employer. After all, she said, they are our employers, too! Enough said.
