Gotta have that whiteboard!

So the company I work at doesn't really spend much money. No hot water in the kitchen, no heated bathrooms, and only a small laptop for everyone (no external mouse, keyboard, or monitor). But it struck me as odd the other day when 3 new people got hired and the boss walked over and stressed that they should hurry and order their white boards because they are so important for process planning. So in summary they will shell out for white boards - but nothing else? Not even to get window cleaners in here so we can see outside!!!!

My company is the same way. They say we have to skimp on training, bonuses stink, and they are always cutting back on this or that. But when the BAs (Business Analysts) need training blank checks go flying everywhere. One week here to learn "Process Improvement" ... another week in Vegas to learn "The process of becoming a good process learner". It gets a little ridiculous. Not to mention it sucks the motivation right out of the rest of us who think we are not important.
