Slacker Tech Support

I work for a small company that sells and supports a software product for a certain niche service industry.

All I do is surf the internet, read a book and occasionally answer the phone. On an average I take 4 calls in a 8 hour shift. I am also the only employee working this shift, so usually I take a 2 hour lunch, or just go home an hour early.

don't you get bored?

I'd take advantage of the free time and study! Get a certificate, a degree, or just some extra knowledge. My brother had a job where he had lots of free time and got his realtor license.

How nice for you that you can surf at work! I'm as bored as you right now and I thought I could surf, until today, when I discovered that sites I browsed to YESTERDAY were blocked since then. So, someone is obviously spying on me and logging what I visit, so I'm now deathly afraid to visit this site for fear the IT guy is watching what I post, too.
