Top o' The Mornin' to all ye fellow JobSchmobbers. Today is St. Patrick's Day and I am having a COW!! Let me explain.
Many of us brought in goodies and treats to share today. We set everything up on a table. Not everyone brought stuff in but thats ok, we can get you next time. I brought in HOMEMADE Bailey cookies and a Butterfinger Cheesecake. It was 7:45 a.m., I figured I'd ditch the cheesecake in the fridge (with my name on it and a note saying please don't disturb-fragile") until after lunch, or at least until after 10a.m. "A smart a$$ gal" saw me... asked what I had... I told her it was something for later on this afternoon, and headed for the fridge. She was behind me, but I paid her no mind.
Ten minutes later, she comes to my cube with a piece of my
#$%%^%#$@@%# cheesecake smushed on a paper towel. (I had nice paper plates had she bother to ask!!) She says... hey I helped myself to a piece of your cheesecake. No you did not I said... Sure I did why not?
Is it me or did she have a lot of nerve. Digging into something before I had the chance to place it on the table with the plates and forks? Gimme a break! There was tons of stuff available to her early in the day. Bagels, donuts, cupcakes and cookies. Whats the deal?

I love to cook, so I have a comment about this one! When I work really hard on a dish that I am proud of, presentation is everything!!!! Someone digging into it, and plopping the masterpiece on a papertowel, and more importantly without permission would annoyed me too!

Cooking is one of my hobbies and rapidly becoming my favorite thing to do. Presentation, appearance and above all timing are sacred. To see something I spent hours working on vandalized would be enough for me never to waste my time again.

Your cheesecake was pillaged and violated!! Yes, that would really piss me off especially if I told someone it was for LATER THIS AFTERNOON! Yeah, you got a right to be mad.

One thing I am slowly beginning to learn (the hard way) is that you never, ever give cow-orkers (note: not misspelled) any more information than they need to know, as judged by the most restrictive metric you can imagine. :) Of course, in the case of a cow-orker like _that_, I suspect that the only difference would have been that she wouldn't have told you she'd taken a piece...

This was a deliberate power grab on her part, as she invaded your territory, and then made sure you knew who did it. BUT-you have to choose you battles. Obviously she is rude and classless, bur I am just starting to realize-that is why it called a "corporate jungle". She must be manager material.
