It is 12:36pm. You walk over to someones desk and they aren't there. Where do you assume they are? Lunch? Brilliant! You are smarter then the director here! The director walks over and says "Where's Jay?", and we say with risen eye brows "Probably Lunch.", and he says "Lunch?, Well..." in an annoyed voice, then huffs and walks away.

Lunch...yeah...eating. A novel concept. We don't have the advantage of someone catering our lunch in every day the way they do.

I can't stop laughing! You have no idea how many times I've had to answer that same dumb question at that point in the day! "Where's so-and-so?" "It's noon-ish. They're probably out at lunch" "Oh..." Folks, can I get a 'Duh'? DUHHHH! LMAO!

workers eating, drinking - then using the bathrooms - what horror. It costs $$ to clean and snake facilities. They may miss a few minutes of work - can't have that going on during 24/7 work time.

We have Stupidvisors that stop in the lab at 9 o'clock and have the same response - we get a coffee break, thanks to the Union CONTRACT, hello, CONTRACT, from 9 to 9:10. You can't take it earlier, you can't take it later, you miss it from 9 to 9:10, too bad for you ! So we get these evil looks, such as HOW DARE we take advantage of our stinking 10 minutes...while these same guys roll out for lunch at 11:30 and roll back in around 1 pm. It's universal....you, the lowly worker, must be on call at all times for management.

They think that because they are up higher on the corporate crapper, they can poop on you any time they please. They think that it entitles them to have a double standard. They seem to have a problem seeing you eat or drink anything, because they think you're wasting valuable company time. Anyone who nit-picks like this needs to be hog-tied and dragged through a pit of angry starved chickens.

I had a similar thing happen. We had a meeting at an off site location from 8am-12. I car-pooled with another person. So after the meeting we went and got lunch. So we weren't actually back at the office at like 12:15. OMG my boss freaked! She actually called the apartments where i live and asked them If they knew where I was, because I haven't come back to work yet. Hello I do get an hour for lunch and it doesn't matter where I eat it. My apartments told her "well since its about lunch time shes probably eating, what do we have to do with it?"
