So my coworker brings in these mini chocolate eclairs today. I didn't try one until this afternoon. It tasted wonderful, and then it happened a couple of minutes after I ate the eclair. I felt doped up and high. I don't know what she put in those eclairs, but I swear she was slipping the office mickeys on this Friday afternoon. I don't do drugs and I like to feel healthy. God, I hated it. I hope everything will be out of my system by Monday, if they decide to spring drug tests on us.

Definitly have your blood sugar checked. Hypoglycemia can give you a euphoric feeling, make you feel run down, stoned, or generally sick.

If her eclairs make you feel dopey, definately DON'T eat any brownies she brings in...

Am I the only one who thinks this story is a bit "off"?

No you aren't the only one.

Spring drug testing? What, are you a flower? You may have just had an adverse reaction to a possible hypo-glycemic reaction to the chocolate. If you ate these in the morning hours, without eating anything else, even more so if you had a cup of Joe, it is very likely you were just going through a hyper-active body response. What's a Mickie anyway? Did I miss something?

>Mentioning flower and drugtesting. After I bit into poppy seed cake a coworker rather forcefully offered I was told to flush with golden seal tea for three days. Does it still work, anybody know?<

If this truly was a poppy seed muffin, and just that, you'll be fine! Drug tests are savvy enough to be able to distinguish between muffin eaters and opium addicts. In 1998 the USDA raised the bar from from 300 nanograms per millileter to 2,000 - to eliminate the majority of false-positive tests. By doing this they may miss the occassional user, but are sure not to accuse the muffin eater!

Walks writes the darndest things.---- This could be sugar overload coupled with anxiety. Time to have your blood sugar checked; could be low. One of my former bosses had low bloodsugar and almost fell asleep after eating sweet deserts. Fun for everyone except the boss.
