Still Walking the Planks

It's been over a year now with this company, and I'm still walking the planks. For some reason, the people with seniority (pirates) and in different departments feel the need to browbeat me any way they possibly can. There are newer people there, and some of them are younger. Do they browbeat them, start with them, or try to get a rise out of them? Nope, just me. I must really be good at my job, on the career front in the office, and be viewed as a terrible threat to them if they feel they have to come at me full force. I no longer take offense to it. I take it as a compliment! Nothing like renting a space in your coworkers heads. It's nice being popular, and it is so nice to know that I keep them on their toes, without even trying ;)

Now sit down and do your own jobs -- stop worrying about mine.

Niiiicccceee. Seems like we have something in common. Better to screw with their microscopic little ids than worry about your job. KUDOS
