I just quit today! Retail's busiest time of the year and I quit!!! I was to the point of being afraid to even speak to my boss...She was becoming confrontational. When and if I did ask her a question or try to speak with her she would completely ignore me. I have another job lined up and had planned to put my notice in after christmas was over to give her time to replace me but...after having her slam the door in my face and not speak to me for 2 days...Life's too short So I will enjoy this christmas break with my family and start my new job after the holidays...Merry Christmas everyone!!

It seems that even Christmas time is a good time for the sick cliques out there to spread misery around for others and themselves! Until organizations recognize this cancerous and all-too-common problem, "hell on earth, bad will to all co-workers" will continue to steal holiday cheer and profits away...

WAY TO GO!!! Congrats and enjoy your long Christmas break!

Walk The Planks (12/18/2005)
I once worked at an agency that was a court reporting firm, and it was on the large side. It was also family owned. Well, the boss' wife had her clique of "friends" in the office. Little did she know that these same friends used to literally go around the office, gossiping and slamming her and her husband behind their backs. I never gossiped about them, out of respect. I thought that it was disrespectful to do that to them, especially, in their "family" run office. I gave them respect that they didn't deserve. Anyway, the boss' wife, for some reason, didn't like me. After all, she had her cool clique of friends -- not. Anyway, one day I tried to talk to the boss' wife in her office, and she literally stood up and turned her back to me. She completely ignored me. I just walked away. When the office Christmas party rolled around that year and she sat down right next to me at the table to socialize, I completely ignored her and let there be a cold, chilled silence in the air. It was very uncomfortable for her, and I could see it. She got what she deserved, and I make no qualms about it and have no regrets. She also needs to have better judgment in "friends."
