One time at the major airplane manufacturer where I was employed (before my job was outsourced)....we had an employee that was commonly referred to as "Psycho".
He was dating another employee for a short time, until she realized what a nutcase he was After she dumped him, things got a little more complicated.....he began to stalk her. This included menacing glares from him anytime you had to interact with her.Since he was a management darling , (and crazy) no one dared bring this to their attention.
Soooooo....next thing I know,a coworker confides in me that he has displayed a gun to her.She says that she wants to report it, but is too scared and wants me to go with her!!! At first I said no,until he showed me the bullets,.....40 caliber hollow points. At that point I felt obligated to report this which I reluctantly did.I met with a company security official and explained what had transpired. He asked me what I thought about the situation so I looked him squarely in the eyes and said that I wouldn't be surprised if he shot the place up.
A short time later "Psycho" was promoted to a lead position.
Footnote: The mid level manager that promoted him was later exposed as a phony war hero by a veteran watchdog group.......I'm not making this up.
(More true stories to follow,...I have 30 years worth.)

WTF is right! "Holy crap" is all that keeps running through my head. And then people say they had no warning. You'd think after all the bombings and school shootings...someone would pay attention and take it seriously. I bet you are glad to be out of there.

Why didn't you report him to the police and have him removed from the company. How long ago was this? Maybe, you still could and, yes, you should.

Ya know, I was getting bored at work today until I read this. Remember that old bullet ridden poster that read, "How did Al Capone handle poor performance?" I am really awake now!
