To hell with corporate america, who needs minimal pto, bad benefits, and a cube the size of a mole hole anyway! I'm going to open a bicycle hotdog stand and ride around the city and make my money instead! I'm taking ownership of my own life -- if I want to sleep in, I will (people are hungry all day long), if someone pisses me off, I'll just run them over with my front wheel, and the only person I will be dependent on is the guy supplying the hotdogs and buns.

Deep breathing here. / Reassess the situation. If you are still serious try the hotdog stand idea while still employed. Yep, in most cities you will need a lisence and permission. And lots of sun-block.

I hate to admit this but I was watching the Real World earlier and in that episode the hot dog guy got beat up!

I hate working in corp amer too! Can't stand it. I just wish I could branch away and be independent, but the road is so scary. Any advice from anyone who has?

I have and I love it. I was so scared and unsure of my future, but it feels so good to be "out of the loop" and not have to "touch base" and think about "goals and deliverables" yes, I still have my own "goals and deliverables" with my business, but I don't have to use the ridiculous corporate lingo. I feel like I have become human again and not some uncreative robotic corporate citizen of idiotville.
